GCTV Announces New Office Hours

Beginning Monday, August 2nd GCTV will be holding new office hours in both the Soundview and Community Center Broadcast locations.

Scheduling will now occur twice a week rather than 3 times per week at the Community Center.  Programs will now be scheduled on Mondays and Fridays.

Soundview hours will now begin at 2:30pm on Tuesday and 3pm on Thursday and run until 8:30pm.  Saturday office hours will remain the same, running from 9-11am.

Why the change?

GCTV has received feedback from various viewers and producers that our current hours were not fully meeting theirs needs on several levels.

On the Broadcast side of our operations the change to scheduling 2 times per week addresses viewers concerns that they were not able to sufficiently schedule their viewing of programs.  Programs will now remain in a broadcast rotation for 3 & 4 days per cycle rather than 2 and a half days per cycle.

On the production side of our operations the reduction in broadcast hours means an increase in production time at our Soundview Studio.  GCTV has seen a tremendous amount of growth in production in the last 18 months.  We have also heard from community members who would like to access our facilities during afternoon hours, which will better serve those who cannot make our evening hours.  With our mission focused on Guilford based media content an increase in hours at GCTV’s Soundview facility will help promote fresh material to GCTV’s broadcast channels.

We want to hear from you!  Change can bring good things but sometimes requires further explanation or tweaking to find the right balance.  Please contact GCTV if you have any questions or comments regarding these changes or anything else GCTV related.

Thank you for your continued to support.

Studio Props Needed

GCTV is in the process of updating the set of the Soundview Road Studio.  Some of the items we are currently looking for are tall director-type chairs or high stools with backs and a table of equivalent height, a leather loveseat and side chair, a podium, bookcases, and a modern coffee table.

If you have any of these items in good condition and would like to donate them to GCTV, please contact Shannon Gale, Operations Manager,
at (203) 453-8453 or
via e-mail at info@guilfordtv.org.

A GCTV Board member will make arrangements to look at the item(s).  If the item(s) are deemed appropriate for use, GCTV will make arrangements to pick up the items at your home or business.

GCTV will acknowledge all donations on our web site and channel bulletin board.
